Crowne Plaza Miami International Airport

In 2001, took on the role of General Manager at the Crowne Plaza Miami International Airport. Faced with declining revenues, restructured the Sales department, developed new strategies to boost corporate and banquet business, and strengthened airline relationships to increase layover bookings. Efforts resulted in a remarkable 36% EBITDA. Hired and developed new talent for the Food & Beverage operations which significantly enhanced client satisfaction and repeat business.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Sao Paulo, Brazil

In 1996, was appointed General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Tasked with directing a USD$14 million renovation, transformed the 228-room hotel by enhancing safety features, creating new executive and airline lounges, and redesigned banquet facilities. Introduced a Mediterranean restaurant concept that dramatically increased lunch covers, Awarded the “Best Dining Experience in South America” award in 1999. Implemented a full Revenue Management program, which boosted the hotel’s EBITDA from 26% to 39%.
